BOS Lighting was founded by Bart Prinsen in 2022. As an experienced light operator, designer and purchaser of light, Bart noticed a lack of functionality within the products available on the market. The features needed to produce the image on stage as imagined, he would need multiple lights to make that one single image. Due to production budgets, the only option was to settle for less. Luckily that is in the past.

With that specific quote in mind, Bart started to brainstorm and sketch. After several draft versions, color changes, and functionality additions, the first line-up of BOS Lighting saw the light.
